The Hippy Boys: Reggae With The Hippy Boys (TJDCD319)
A bunch of tracks
from 1969 1970 the era of evolution into reggae, and also evolution of the
Hippy Boys into the Upsetters. Half the tracks are Upsetter recordings, so its
all of that style, instrumental and many familiar riddims. Its all good, all
very nice, excellent musicianship as you’d expect from these guys, hardens up a
bit as the album progresses.
Its all very good
for historic reasons bit standing alone it all feels a bit lacking
