I Feel So Bad: the Soul Recordings – Jackie Edwards

Info: - The songs tell their own story. ‘Somebody Help Me’, ‘Come On Home’ and ‘Keep On Running’ were three of the biggest hits of the mid-60s, and they had one thing in common: they were penned by Jamaican songwriting genius Jackie Edwards. This album fills a long-overdue gap in the market, by assembling Jackie’s own versions of his material, highly sought-after on the Mod and Soul collecting scenes.

Review: - A wonderful album of quality 60’s soul, the first four tracks particularly are absolute stormers and will appeal to the Northern, Mod, scooter, well anybody really where they are pretty well known anyway…..but the quality is not down to what particular scene might like it , it is the quality of the vocals and production.

The rest is also quality ranging from stompers through to ballads, american influenced but also the british beat scene

An excellent album
