The last email interview we did was back in December 2002 so given that your  new CD is out and reviewed we ought to update it I

 think.

Tell me about the new album.

Well my friend, the new project Follow My Lead is actually the fourth of my projects. Follow My Lead is a 10 track party cd full of dance songs. Like always I

co wrote most of the songs with my good friends Ves and Donald. These guys have wrote for me on all my projects for four years. Follow My Lead to me is the

best of the best.

 How's it going down?

I'm selling as much as my first project Dreams Do Come True with the hit single Swing It (2001) did. Getting lots of air play and gigs in the southern states.

Are you getting much interest from overseas.  How is  your following overseas  given that you have put out a few albums now?

It's doing well with sales on Cdbaby.com and the write up in the magazine In The Basemant thanks Mr. Cole (lol). There was a lot of action when I drop my second album Taste Me but 9/11 came around and everything came to a stand still so all my maybe trips turn into a lot of no shows. But I'm still would like to do shows overseas before the flame burns out.

Tell me about Swing Out.  It certainly creates a  nice Vibe and there are  several tracks on the album I like - My baby's  magic, Let's swing again and

 I'm coming home particularly.

What R Kelly is to stepping, Lil' Fallay is to Swing Out, people and fans alike call me the Guru of Swing. Swing Out is a style of dancing the African Americans

do at the club are concerts or house parties all over the southern states. It's a lovely dance which when done right it seems as though the people who are doing

it seems to be floating on air. Swing out associations are popping up every where, I hope I have some thing to do with that (lol)

Who helps you out on the album

I have the best of friends helping me on my projects Ves writings becomes' better every year he seems to fit me with the right tracks he getting inside my head

these days (lol). Donald is only one month older than me he was born on January 25 I was born on February 25,1962 we jelled right from the start. My female

vocalists come from all walks of life gospel singers to dance hall singers to my sisters and friends. It's a family affair. And the ladies love me.

What about your show, do you do many shows, are they all mostly local, whats  your status locally.

My shows mostly are concerts in the state of Louisiana. I do travel for shows out of state with the likes of Tyrone Davis, Mel Waiters, Barbara Lyn, Michael

Cooper of the fame group(Con Funk Shun) and many, many more. Dropping projects every year puts me on a lot of promotionial tours. I'm getting a lot of requests to lend my name to a lot of causes like the Sickel Cell Foundation, The Back to school supply drives, all kind of church functions and so on. I'm the guru of swing every body can use a guru man.

Tell me about yourself, your family, what you like  doing

My god given name is Christopher John Andrus I have not heard that name in a long time. My wife Mary and son Kris is all my world and I truely love them. I

love being out doors if I'm not on the road or working as a firefighter I'm outside fishing, hunting, riding horses or cutting grass or sitting on the porch

rocking away the day.

Tell me about Charli, do you work together

Charli' came into my life four years ago when I release my first album (Dreams Do Come True) 2001. She was the lead female vocalist for a 10 piece group that

I use as my backup band. The band had it's on mine set so in two years our relationship was over, but Charli' saw some thing great in me and came with me as I move on. What she  wanted was a project of her own and in one year she was a recording artist. Charli opens all my shows and is my first artist coming off my record label Hot Like "FIRE" Management Lil' Fallay Records.

 Whats her show like

She can do everything from covering Aretha Franklin to Ashinta to blowing the house down with her new releases off her debut album  (Can I Dance 2nite).

 Hows her CD going

She is on a promotionial tour right now marketing that cd all over the place. She see that the world of music is no easy biz, but she love it and she have heart so

she will make a name for herself into this world.

Anything or anybody else we should be looking out  for.

There is a lot of people coming out of Lafayette, Louisiana that the world should be on the look out for people like Charli', Patrick Henery,

Kenny Wayne, Cupit and Honey. There is a dance call Swing Out that will hit the world like a bomb and

everyone will be doing it in a year or two.

Anything else you'd like to say?

I would like to thank everyone the Lord our God has sent into my life  (you to Mike) to help me in my

music life. Thanks to my old and new fans. Thanks to the reveiw writers and booking agents. I'm looking for

someone to call me for shows overseas. I'll keep making the music for those of you who want to hear it.

Love you all,

Lil' Fallay aka Christopher John Andrus bna The Swing

Out Guru
